Important — Read Carefully.
Automobile Driving Association is a private translation service operated by International Automobile Authority LLC, a private Florida-registered company. Automobile Driving Association is NOT an automobile club, motoring association, motoring federation, or trade association of any kind. Automobile Driving Association is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, authorized by, or in any way connected with the American Automobile Association (AAA), the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA), the American Translators Association (ATA), the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), or any other automobile, motoring, drivers', translators', or trade association anywhere in the world. Similarity in name is coincidental. The word "Association" in our brand name refers to a translation product made available to drivers; it does not refer to membership in, or operation of, a club or trade body.
Our product — the ADA Driver's License Translation (ADA-DLT) — is a certified translation of your valid domestic driver's license, formatted in accordance with the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic and the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic.
The ADA-DLT is:
- NOT an International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by a government or motoring association;
- NOT issued by any government, motor-vehicle department, transport ministry, or public body;
- NOT authorized, endorsed, or recognized by the United Nations, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, or any intergovernmental organization;
- NOT a substitute for, and does NOT replace, your original domestic driver's license.
You must always carry and present your original domestic driver's license together with the ADA-DLT. The ADA-DLT is valid only when shown alongside your domestic license. Acceptance of the ADA-DLT by foreign authorities, vehicle rental companies, insurers, or law enforcement is at their sole discretion. No acceptance is guaranteed in any country.
Automobile Driving Association does not operate any roadside-assistance program, insurance program, membership program, advocacy program, or other service typically associated with an automobile club. Our sole service is the production of a certified translation of your driver's license.

Please read it carefully; it is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and is binding on every visitor and customer.
1. About our brand name
- The word "Association" in our brand name is descriptive: it refers to the connection between drivers and a translation product made available to them for use abroad. It does not refer to membership in, or operation of, an automobile club, motoring association, motoring federation, trade body, or any other organization of that type.

2. We are not AAA, CAA, ATA, FIA, or any other motoring or translators association
- Automobile Driving Association is not the American Automobile Association (AAA), not the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA), not the American Translators Association (ATA), not the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), and not affiliated with any of them or with any other automobile, motoring, drivers', translators', or trade association anywhere in the world.
- We are not authorized, endorsed, sponsored, or licensed by any of those organizations.
- Any similarity in name between Automobile Driving Association and AAA, CAA, ATA, FIA, or any other organization is coincidental.
3. The ADA-DLT is not an International Driving Permit (IDP)
- The ADA-DLT is not an International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by a government or motoring association.
- In the United States, the only organizations designated to issue IDPs under the 1949 Geneva Convention are the American Automobile Association (AAA) and the American Automobile Touring Alliance (AATA). We are neither of them, and we have no affiliation with either.
- Equivalent government-designated issuers exist in other countries (for example, CAA in Canada). We are not affiliated with any of them.
4. The ADA-DLT is not issued by any government
- The ADA-DLT is not a government-issued document.
- The ADA-DLT is not authorized, endorsed, or co-issued by the United Nations, UNECE, any national road-safety authority, or any motoring association.
5. The ADA-DLT does not replace your domestic driver's license
- You must always carry and present your valid domestic driver's license together with the ADA-DLT.
- The ADA-DLT is valid only when shown alongside your original driver's license; it is not a standalone driving credential.
6. Acceptance is at third-party discretion
- Acceptance of the ADA-DLT by foreign authorities, vehicle rental companies, insurers, or law-enforcement officers is at their sole discretion.
- We do not guarantee acceptance of the ADA-DLT in any specific country, region, or transaction.
- We are not liable for any fine, penalty, denial of service, denial of rental, or any other consequence imposed by any third party following the presentation of an ADA-DLT. This limitation is subject to § 9 below and to any non-waivable consumer-protection law.
7. Country-acceptance scope
The ADA-DLT is formatted in accordance with the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic and the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (linked above). Where our website references the Conventions' contracting-states list, acceptance remains at the discretion of the accepting authority.
