About Automobile Driving Association

We are not a government agency, not an International Driving Permit (IDP) issuer, and not affiliated with AAA, CAA, ATA, FIA, or any motoring or translation association. Automobile Driving Association is a private Florida-registered limited liability company that produces a certified translation of your valid domestic driver's license. We are not authorised, endorsed, or recognised by the United Nations. Acceptance of our translation by foreign authorities or vehicle rental companies is at their sole discretion.
International Automobile Authority LLC is a privately held Limited Liability Company registered in the State of Florida, USA. It is not a government body, regulatory authority, or instrumentality of any government. It does not issue government permits, licenses, or official documents of any kind.
Why we started
Automobile Driving Association was founded in 2025 to solve a small, expensive problem that travelers kept hitting at the worst possible moment. To obtain a translated version of their driving credential for use abroad, many people were told there was only one path available to them: fly home. Return to the issuing country, stand in a queue, pay a fee, and then fly back.
For a family of four, a round trip home can cost anywhere from $10,000 to $20,000 in flights, plus several days of lost time, hotel nights, and whatever plans were interrupted on the other side. For remote workers on a contract, expats separated from family, people with visa constraints, people on medical protocols, and a long list of others, the trip is not expensive; it is impossible. The paperwork ends the journey.
We started Automobile Driving Association to move that paperwork off a plane and onto the internet. The service is a translation, delivered remotely, so that a traveler's plans do not hinge on a trip home for an errand. We are not replacing any government document, and we are not granting anyone the right to drive. We are removing a friction that should never have been there to begin with.
What we do
Automobile Driving Association produces a certified translation of your existing, valid domestic driver's license. The translation is available in 12 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Korean, Arabic, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese.
The ADA Driver's License Translation (ADA-DLT) is formatted in accordance with the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic and the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic. It must always be presented alongside your original domestic licence; it never replaces it.
We are a translation service. We are not a permit issuer, we are not a driving-rights authority, and we are not authorised by any government.

Travelers do not operate on business hours. Our customer team is available 24/7, in the customer's language, through email and live chat. When something goes wrong we prefer to replace or refund before we argue.
